KUWAIT CITY, Jul 21: Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy said several power generation and water desalination plants were attacked on Monday evening in what it described as the fourth consecutive day of Iranian strikes targeting the country's critical infrastructure.

In Statement No. 22, the ministry said the attacks triggered fires at several facilities. Emergency response teams, working alongside the General Fire Force and security authorities, quickly contained and extinguished the fires.

The ministry said damage assessments have been completed and repair and rehabilitation plans are being implemented to restore affected facilities.

As a precaution, several electricity-generating units have been taken out of service to protect equipment and maintain the stability of the country's electricity and water networks.

The ministry said it will continue to provide updates through its official communication channels as the situation develops.
