KUWAIT CITY, June 3: Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Kuwait Lakshitha Ratnayake confirmed that three Sri Lankan workers were injured during the Iranian attack on the Terminal One at Kuwait International Airport on Wednesday. Ratnayake told the newspaper that the injured Sri Lankan workers were carrying out maintenance work on the elevator inside the airport at the time of the explosion. He disclosed that the injuries were concentrated in the head, arms and legs as a result of the shattering glass, indicating the injured were rushed to the hospital. He added that their health condition is stable and they are under observation. He is hoping that they will be discharged from the hospital within a day or two, while clarifying that their injuries are not serious.
