TEHRAN (AP), Mar 29: Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf on Sunday issued a strong warning to the United States against any potential ground invasion, threatening intensified retaliation and attacks on American allies in the region.
Speaking through official Iranian media, Qalibaf said Iranian forces were prepared for any escalation, stating they were “waiting for the arrival of American troops on the ground” and warning of severe consequences. He added that Iran’s missile capabilities remain in place and that its resolve has only strengthened amid rising tensions.
Qalibaf also dismissed a reported 15-point proposal conveyed via Pakistan as unrealistic, accusing Washington of attempting to achieve politically what it could not accomplish through military means. He stressed that Iran would not accept what he described as attempts to force its surrender, reaffirming the country’s stance against external pressure.
