TEHRAN: Iran has formally demanded compensation from five Middle Eastern countries, accusing them of supporting the United States and Israel during the recent conflict.

Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations, Amir-Saeid Iravani, called for damages to be paid by Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Jordan.

According to Iran’s state news agency Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Iravani accused the five nations of violating international law by participating in what Tehran describes as a joint U.S.-Israeli war effort against the Islamic Republic.

In a statement, he demanded that the countries “make full compensation” for damages caused, including both material losses and what he described as moral harm resulting from their alleged actions.

The claims mark a sharp escalation in regional tensions, as Iran seeks to hold neighboring states accountable on the international stage following the conflict. No immediate response has been reported from the countries named in the demand.
