TAMPA, Jun 3: U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has rejected Iranian claims that a U.S. Navy destroyer was targeted in the Gulf of Oman, calling the statement false. In a post on social media, CENTCOM said that Iranian reports alleging an attack on American naval assets were inaccurate, adding that U.S. military vessels continue to operate safely and without disruption in the region.

The statement comes amid heightened regional tensions, with CENTCOM reaffirming that all U.S. forces at sea remain fully operational, unimpeded, and are maintaining routine activities. It strongly denied any incident involving a strike on a U.S. Navy destroyer.
