Iran Revolutionary Guards Say Ready to Respond to Any New Attack, “Hands on the Trigger” After Ceasefire

TEHRAN, Apr 8: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said on Wednesday it is prepared to respond to any new attack, warning that its forces remain on high alert despite the recent ceasefire.

In a statement, the Guards said their forces have their “hands on the trigger” and are ready to act if what they described as enemy miscalculations are repeated. “We have no trust in the enemy’s promises,” the statement added, warning that any aggression would be met with a stronger response.

The group also cautioned regional partners of the United States against cooperation, saying they should take lessons from recent events and reconsider their stance.

The remarks come amid continued tensions following the ceasefire between the United States and Iran, with incidents still being reported across the region. Recent developments include explosions at facilities on Lavan Island, drone-related damage in Kuwait, and missile threats intercepted by air defenses in the United Arab Emirates.
