Iran reports airstrike near Bushehr nuclear plant

TEHRAN (AP), Mar 28: An airstrike struck the grounds of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in Iran just before midnight, marking the third such incident in 10 days, according to the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran.

Authorities said the strike caused no material damage and resulted in no casualties, adding that there was no technical disruption to operations at the facility.

The International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed it had been notified of the incident by Iranian officials.

Also, an airstrike hit Iran’s University of Science and Technology in Tehran on Saturday, the state-run IRNA news agency reported. The strike damaged research and educational buildings, IRNA reported, citing the university’s public relations office.
