Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi
TEHRAN, (AP) March 25: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that no direct negotiations have taken place with the United States, despite ongoing diplomatic efforts to end the conflict.
In an interview with Iranian state television late Wednesday, Araghchi stated, “No negotiations have happened with the enemy until now, and we do not plan on any negotiations.”
He confirmed that a U.S. proposal to end the war is currently under review by top authorities in Tehran, but clarified that the exchange of messages through mediators does not constitute formal negotiations with Washington.
The remarks highlight continued diplomatic deadlock, even as indirect communication channels remain active amid escalating tensions in the region.
