TEHRAN, Sep 3: Iran’s army claimed Thursday that it carried out missile and drone attacks on US military bases in Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. The claims could not be independently verified.
In a statement, the Iranian army said the attacks targeted satellite communications systems, equipment warehouses and fighter jet hangars at Ahmed Al Jaber Air Base in Kuwait, claiming damage to communications facilities and aircraft hangars. In the UAE, it said missiles and drones targeted US troop positions and radar systems at Al Minhad Air Base. Kuwait earlier said its air defenses were responding to Iranian missile and drone attacks, while its Foreign Ministry condemned the latest attacks as a “flagrant violation” of the country’s sovereignty.
