iPhone 14 Goes Missing During Hospital Visit in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 27: A visit to Al-Sabah Hospital for medical treatment turned into a theft complaint after a man discovered that his iPhone 14 had gone missing from the observation room and accused another person who was with him of taking the device.

According to the complaint, the man went to Al-Sabah Hospital at around 12:30 a.m. after feeling unwell following a meal. A doctor advised him to remain in the hospital’s observation room for further treatment.

While in the observation room, the man discovered that his mobile phone was missing. He reportedly suspected another person who had been with him of stealing the iPhone.

The complainant expressed concern that the stolen phone could be taken outside Kuwait and reactivated at a later stage, potentially giving the person who possesses it access to his photographs, stored data and other personal information.

A theft case was subsequently registered and referred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigation and legal action. The accused is expected to be summoned so that investigators can verify the allegation and establish the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the phone.

A security source noted that advances in technology have made it increasingly possible for authorities to track stolen mobile phones and determine their locations and users. Such capabilities can assist investigators in identifying suspects, recovering stolen devices and taking the necessary legal measures.
