Iodine doses to be issued if nuclear weapons used

KUWAIT CITY, March 6: Director of the Radiation Protection Department at the Ministry of Health Fadel Ghuloom disclosed that the current stock of iodine in the country is about 60 million doses; stressing there is no need to use them in case of a nuclear threat as Kuwait is far from the conflict area between Russia and Ukraine, reports Al-Jarida daily. In a statement to the daily, Ghuloom explained the iodine doses will be used only if the conflict area is near the country and there is an actual threat to use nuclear weapons.
