KUWAIT CITY, Aug 30: Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specializations (KIMS), Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi, on Thursday, affirmed that supporting and nurturing qualified national medical professionals is a key priority in the ministry’s strategy, praising the institute’s pioneering role in preparing and qualifying future doctors.

Al-Awadhi made the remarks during an awareness day for recent medical graduates and final-year medical students, held under his patronage and attended by senior health officials.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Health, the minister stressed that the ministry is committed to creating an educational and training environment that fosters excellence, encourages innovation, and keeps pace with global developments in medical education. He noted that investing in young medical talents directly impacts the quality of healthcare services provided to society and enhances Kuwait’s standing at both regional and international levels.

The awareness day featured a visual presentation and a detailed explanation of the mechanism of the basic training program, along with a review of the Kuwaiti Board programs and study missions. These efforts aim to familiarize new doctors with their future academic and practical paths and enable them to participate in integrated training programs that meet the highest standards.

In addition, offices have been allocated for all training programs, units, and departments operating at the institute, providing doctors the opportunity to directly submit their inquiries and suggestions.
