The International Music Festival opened at Abdulhussain Abdulredha Theater Saturday by honoring late Kuwaiti composer Marzouq Al-Marzouq.The festival’s first day included 13 songs, nine of them composed by Al-Marzouq. Dr Bader Al-Duweesh, Assistant Secretary-General for Art in the National Council for Culture, Art and Letters, told reporters on sidelines of the event the festival was an opportunity to honor Kuwaiti musical figures.He paid tribute to Al-Marzouq who had contributed over 100 songs in Kuwait. Al-Marzouq (1946-2000) contributed to composition of songs beyond Kuwait and left an impact on an audience not only in Kuwait but in the Arab world
