KUWAIT CITY, May 25: Dean of Kuwaiti Journalism and Editor-in-Chief of the Al-Seyassah and Arab Times newspapers Ahmed Al-Jarallah met with the International Women’s Group (IWG) leaders at his office on Monday,. President of the group Marika Kochlamazashvili, wife of the Georgian Ambassador to Kuwait, headed the visiting delegation, consisting of Vice Presidents Rima Al- Khalidi, wife of the Palestinian Ambassador, and Sayeh Gauvin, wife of the French Ambassador. They discussed the vital role of the media in strengthening international cooperation, as well as humanitarian and cultural connections. They talked about how the group helps integrate the wives of ambassadors into Kuwaiti society, while encouraging friendship and understanding among diverse communities.
Al-Jarallah commended the commitment of the group to improve cross-cultural relations, specifically the organizational efforts and the platform that the group offers for social exchange among the international residents in Kuwait. Kochlamazashvili expressed her gratitude for the regular coverage provided by Al-Seyassah and Arab Times newspapers, thanking Al-Jarallah for his unwavering support for the cultural mission of the group.
Meanwhile, Al-Khalidi underscored the importance of media partnerships in conveying messages about social and cultural progress to the wider public. Managing Editor of the Arab Times Marlon Aquino Malinao and Bassam Al-Qassas also attended the meeting, which concluded with the group’s presentation of a commemorative plaque to Al-Jarallah as a token of appreciation for his continuous cooperation.
