NEW DELHI, Nov 24, (Xinhua): Security agencies seized around 328.54 kilograms of methamphetamine drug worth 2.62 billion Indian Rupees (around 29.38 million US dollars) and arrested two persons in India's Delhi. The operation to bust the drug syndicate was carried out over the past three days, said a police officer on Monday.
The drug syndicate, said to be having links overseas, was busted in an operation jointly carried out by the Narcotics Control Bureau and the Delhi Police. The two persons nabbed in this regard included a man from the northern state of Uttar Pradesh and a woman from the northeastern state of Nagaland. The drug was seized from a farmhouse in south Delhi's Chhattarpur area, said the police.
