International Civil Defence Organisation honors Kuwait’s Interior Minister with the highest medal
The International Civil Defence Organisation awards its highest honor, the International Commander’s Medal, to Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah.

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 21: The International Civil Defence Organisation (ICDO) awarded the International Commander’s Medal, its highest honor, to Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, the Kuwait Fire Force announced Wednesday.

In a statement, the Fire Force said ICDO Secretary General Argoj Kalantarli presented Sheikh Fahad with the medal and a certificate of appreciation in the presence of Kuwait Fire Force Director General Major General Talal Al-Roumi.

Kalantarli said the award reflects Kuwait’s prestigious international standing in civil protection and civil defence. He noted that the achievements of the Kuwait Fire Force and its collaboration with ICDO have strengthened the country’s position regionally and globally.

The Secretary General highlighted Sheikh Fahad’s leadership in supporting civil protection systems, promoting security and safety, and enhancing the readiness of state institutions to handle emergencies and crises in line with international standards. He also praised the Minister’s continued support for the Fire Force, which has contributed to significant regional and international accomplishments.

The ceremony included discussions on areas of joint cooperation in civil protection and civil defence, the statement added.
