Interior Ministry holds mock drills at Mishref Fairgrounds using ammunition, stun grenades

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 24: Kuwait’s Interior Ministry on Tuesday urged conventional and social media to refrain from false reporting and to instead obtain news from official sources, explaining it held a mock exercise at the Mishref International Fairgrounds on Tuesday evening using ammunition and stun grenades.

This exercise is part of drills aimed at raising the efficiency, coordination and in-field cooperation amongst staff. It will also boost the policemen’s management of urgent security situations, said a ministry statement. The ministry’s media and public affairs department stands ready to respond to any queries related to security, the statement added. (KUNA)
