KUWAIT CITY, Oct 13: Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah on Monday inspected a new smart police patrol developed by the Human Resources (HR) and Information Technology (IT) sector as part of the Ministry of Interior’s (MoI) digital transformation.
Head of the HR and IT Sector at MoI, Brigadier Anwar Al-Yatama briefed Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef on systems built by national IT and cybersecurity teams, the ministry said in a press statement. The patrol is equipped with mobile smart cameras linked to facial and license-plate recognition, a portable fingerprint device for instant identification, real-time connections to MoI databases to flag wanted individuals and vehicles, and artificial intelligence (AI) tools for on the spot image analysis.
Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef underscored the importance of modern technology in support of field operations and commended national talent behind the project. The ministry said it will continue upgrading security systems and deploying advanced technology to strengthen public safety(KUNA)
