KUWAIT CITY, Oct 8: The Men’s and Women’s Singles events at the “Bowling World Cup,” hosted by Kuwait from October 4 to 15, showcased intense competition and remarkable strength across all individual categories.

Notably, players from Germany, Canada, Denmark, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and the Sultanate of Oman successfully advanced to the second round in the men’s competition.
Similarly, in the women’s division, competitors from Korea, Singapore, Colombia, Malaysia, and Germany earned their spots in the next stage of the competition.

Katie Ennis, the Executive Director of the Canadian Bowling Federation, commended Kuwait’s warm embrace of the international bowling community and lauded the exceptional organization and superb facilities that contributed to the success of the World Championships for both men and women.
She expressed her delight at experiencing Kuwait for the first time, highlighting the gracious hospitality, welcoming atmosphere, and unparalleled spirit of competition among participating teams.
Katie also praised the splendid opening ceremony, which beautifully reflected the diverse cultures of people from around the world in an enjoyable and entertaining atmosphere, thoroughly enjoyed by all attendees.

Regarding the competition for the position of the International Federation’s President, in which Kuwaiti candidate Sheikh Talal Al-Mohammad participated, Katie confirmed that the election results unfolded without any surprises, emphasizing healthy competition.

She further revealed her intention to collaborate closely with the current board of directors and continental federations in the upcoming stages to advance the sport.
