Insect presence and hygiene failures lead to 32 violations in food facilities

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 13: The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition conducted an inspection tour of food establishments on Friday, during which 32 violation reports were issued. The inspection revealed the presence of various types of insects in several establishments.

Among the observed violations were failure to comply with general hygiene standards, improper food handling without adhering to technical and health requirements, and workers handling food without valid health certificates from the relevant authorities. Additionally, violations included employers allowing workers to handle food without the necessary health certificates, the unauthorized use of areas exceeding the limits of the licensed space, and operating a food facility without obtaining a health license from the Authority.

These inspections are part of the ongoing efforts to ensure food safety and compliance with health regulations.
