Ambassador Tharyat affirmed the Indonesian Embassy is implementing health measures for both the visitors and employees. After lifting the total curfew and start of steps to return to normal life, the maximum time allotted for each visitor at the Consular Section is 15 minutes, he revealed. He added the embassy has been implementing precautionary measures since March 11, confirming the staff and visitors must strictly comply with these measures. He also expressed appreciation for the Kuwaiti government to provide many public services through the internet and emergency numbers, affirming the arrangements are in line with international standards. He said the embassy replaced social meetings with members of the community with online programs.

In the same context, Ambassador Haider stressed that the embassy’s return to normal is not possible now, and even after lifting restrictions on movement. He confirmed the embassy will follow precautionary measures, including social distancing for some time; noting that “these measures will remain part of our daily life.” He conveyed a message to the Pakistani community, urging them not to ignore personal protection and follow the instructions of competent authorities
