‘India’s seasonal trough affects Kuwait weather’

KUWAIT CITY, June 14, (KUNA): Kuwait Meteorological Centre (KMC) said Thursday, the country is still affected by India’s seasonal trough, which supplies the region with hot, relatively dry air masses. Weather Forecast Monitor at Kuwait Meteorological Centre Abdul-Aziz Al-Qarawi said in a statement to KUNA, “the hot and dry air masses are breaking the soil causing dust in the air of north-west wind activity and also leading to a decrease of horizontal vision in some areas, especially in daylight hours, starting from Saturday until next Monday.”

Al-Qarawi also said, “The daytime weather will be hot and the wind is northwesterly to the fluctuating trend. Light to moderate speed ranging from 08 to 35 kilometers per hour. The expected maximum temperature will be between 42º to 44º degrees Celsius and the sea state is moderated with a height of 1 to 4 foot.” Today’s was relatively hot and windy. The trend is to a northwesterly to moderate speed of 10 to 30 km per hour. The minimum temperature was between 29º C to 32º C and the sea state is moderated with a height of 1 to 3º C, Al-Qarawi added.

The weather will be hot on Friday and the wind is northwesterly mild to moderate. The speed varies from 08 to 38 kilometers per hour and the expected maximum is 43º to 45º degrees Celsius. The sea condition is mild to moderate, rising from 1 to 4 feet and the weather on Friday night will be relatively hot and the winds will be northwesterly moderate, ranging from 15 to 38 kilometers per hour and the minimum expected between 30º to 33º degrees Celsius and the sea state is moderated rising from 3 to 5 feet, Al-Qarawi mentioned.
