India's CBSE Postpones March 5–6 Exams in Gulf Countries

NEW DELHI, March 3:  The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed the Class X and XII examinations scheduled for March 5 and 6 across several Middle Eastern countries, following a critical review of the prevailing regional situation.

According to an official statement, the affected examination centers include those in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The Board said that new exam dates will be announced later.

“The Board will review the situation on Thursday, March 5, 2026, and take appropriate decisions regarding examinations scheduled from March 7 onwards,” CBSE added.

The decision comes amid heightened tensions in the region, prompting precautionary measures to ensure the safety of students and staff at overseas examination centers.
