Indian trucker enters on forged docus; Brother reports drunk citizen

KUWAIT CITY, March 23: Security officers at the Al-Nuwaiseeb border post have arrested an Indian trucker for attempting to enter the country on forged passport, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to security sources, the driver arrived at the border with foodstuff from a neighboring country. When police checked the details of the passport, they discovered the same passport number carries the name of another Indian who has been living in the country since 2015.

During interrogation the Indian said he bought the passport from ‘someone’ back home in India. He also said he has no relationship with the person from whom he bought the travel document. The compatriot might be summoned for interrogation.

Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen high in liquor was arrested by Jahra Security men while he was leaving his brother’s house in Qasser area, says Al-Seyassah. Apparently, brother of the drunken citizen called the police and a team of officers went to the scene and arrested him. He was referred to the area police station for necessary action
