NEW DELHI, Dec 25: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Christmas morning service at The Cathedral Church of the Redemption in New Delhi on Thursday, joining members of the Christian community in celebrating the festive occasion. The special service included prayers, carols, and hymns, and featured a dedicated prayer for the Prime Minister by the Bishop of Delhi, Rt. Rev. Dr. Paul Swarup.
Earlier in the day, Mr. Modi extended warm Christmas greetings to people across the country. In a message posted on X, he wished everyone a joyful holiday filled with peace, compassion, and hope, and emphasized the importance of the teachings of Jesus Christ in fostering harmony and unity in society.
The event was attended by a large congregation from the Christian community, reflecting the festive spirit of Christmas in the capital.
