Indian Passport Drops to 134th: 129 Destinations Require Visas — See Where Indians Can Travel Visa-Free

NEW DELHI, Sep 15: The Indian passport has fallen to 134th place globally, with a Mobility Score of 69, according to the latest September 2026 Passport Reports ranking.

Indian passport holders can travel to 25 destinations without a visa, while 39 destinations offer visas on arrival and another five provide access through an electronic travel authorisation (eTA).

A total of 129 destinations require Indian passport holders to obtain a visa before travel, according to the latest data.

Passport Reports says its Mobility Score combines destinations accessible without a visa, with a visa on arrival or through an electronic travel authorisation.

The ranking methodology counts visa-free entry, visa-on-arrival, and eTA access toward the Mobility Score. Passport Reports currently lists India at 134th, after a September 15 update that moved it down from 132nd.
