Indian opposition parties field Reddy as candidate for VP post

NEW DELHI, Aug 19, (Xinhua): Opposition parties in India on Tuesday fielded B. Sudershan Reddy as their joint candidate for the post of the country's vice president, election for which was scheduled for Sept 9. Reddy had been a judge in the country's highest court, the Supreme Court of India. He was expected to file his nomination on Thursday.
