Indian held with drugs at airport – Man ‘steals’ wife’s money

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 7: An Indian man was arrested at Kuwait International Airport for attempting to smuggle four kilograms of marijuana in his luggage, reports Al-Rai daily. Customs officers at the airport also arrested an Indian woman in possession of one kilogram of marijuana. Both suspects were referred with the marijuana to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.

Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti woman lodged a complaint at Sabah Al-Salem Police Station against her husband, accusing him of stealing KD 4,000 from her account without her knowledge, reports Al-Rai daily. She explained that she discovered the theft after returning from overseas with her mother for the latter’s medical treatment. When she asked her husband, he revealed that he withdrew the money because he was in debt. Securitymen will summon the husband for investigations. And, a Kuwaiti citizen has been arrested for attacking a Syrian expatriate and robbing him of KD 500 in front of an ATM of a local bank, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, the Syrian man had lodged a complaint at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Police Station, explaining that he was attacked and robbed after he withdrew money from the ATM. Using the details provided by the victim, securitymen managed to find and arrest the Kuwaiti suspect. He was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
