Indian guard molests 8-yr-old US boy

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 31: The Salmiya police have arrested an unidentified Indian for molesting the eight-year-old American boy in front of his house, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, the arrest came when Col Majid Al-Adwani was tipped off that the suspect had made plans to leave the country and soon a directive was issued to catch the man and a subsequent travel ban was slapped on him. After his arrest he was taken to the Salmiya Police Station and during interrogation he admitted to the crime. According to the child’s father, the toddler was molested while he was playing in the building compound. The Indian reportedly works as the building guard.

Coal fumes cause: A Bedoun couple sustained serious injuries and lost their unborn child after allegedly inhaling smoke from lighted charcoal they used as heater in their bedroom, says Al-Seyassah. The husband’s brother called the Operations Unit at the Interior Ministry immediately after he found the couple lying unconscious in their room. He told police that he was alarmed when no one responded after he called the couple several times, so he checked their bedroom. Paramedics and securitymen rushed to the location after receiving information on the incident. The couple was taken to Farwaniya Hospital where they are now confined at the Intensive Care Unit. Unfortunately, the couple lost their unborn child due to the incident. Preliminary investigations revealed the husband lighted charcoal to keep them warm, so they might have inhaled smoke coming from the burning charcoal while they were sleeping. A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to shed more light on the incident.

Wanted man held: The Highway Patrol has arrested a Kuwaiti who was wanted by law in connection with 14 cases, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the man was arrested while driving along a road in Salmi Security sources said the suspect was initially arrested for driving a car that was not road worthy and after checking his data, the patrolmen found he was wanted by law.
