KUWAIT CITY, Aug 27: An Indian expatriate died after falling from the top of a residential building in the Hawally area, with the Public Prosecution ordering the Criminal Investigation Department to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and determine whether there was any criminal suspicion.

The Ministry of Interior’s operations room received a report about a person falling from the building. Security personnel who arrived at the scene were informed by the building’s security guard that the deceased was a resident who lived with others in a shared apartment. The guard said he heard a loud thud and, upon going outside to investigate, found the expatriate lying on the ground and already dead. When asked whether other people were present inside the apartment at the time, the guard said he did not know.

A case has been registered over the incident, and criminal investigators are continuing their inquiries to establish the circumstances leading to the fall and determine whether the death was accidental or involved any criminal activity. The findings will be submitted to the competent authorities as part of the ongoing investigation.
