KUWAIT CITY, Sep 2: An Indian expatriate died after falling from the third floor of a building in Abu Halifa, with authorities launching an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The Ministry of Interior’s operations room received a report about the fall, and security personnel who arrived at the scene found the man dead from his injuries. A building guard reportedly told investigators that he heard a loud thud and, after leaving his room, found the expatriate lying on the ground covered in blood.
The victim, an Indian national born in 1999, was referred to the Forensic Medicine Department. His roommates reportedly told authorities that he had been experiencing psychological problems, while investigators are working to establish the circumstances that led to his fall.
The Abu Halifa police station investigator ordered an inquiry into the incident to determine what happened and whether there were any other factors involved.
In a separate incident, an unidentified person reported being assaulted by an unknown individual in the Firdous area. The Public Prosecution ordered a case to be registered and tasked the Criminal Investigation Department with identifying the alleged attacker.
