KUWAIT CITY, Jun 3: India’s Ambassador Paramita Tripathi visited the Central Mortuary in Kuwait where the mortal remains of an Indian national, who lost his life during the attack on Kuwait International Airport earlier today, were received.
During the visit, the Ambassador met Brigadier Abdulrahim Al-Awadhi, General Manager of the General Department of Criminal Evidence, and expressed appreciation for the swift and sensitive handling of the situation by Kuwaiti authorities. The Embassy said it is in close contact with the family of the deceased and is coordinating with local authorities for the expeditious repatriation of the remains.
The Ambassador also visited Indian nationals injured in the airport incident and currently receiving treatment at various hospitals across Kuwait. She interacted with the injured, assured them of full support, and said the Embassy is closely monitoring their condition while coordinating with hospitals and families to ensure necessary assistance.
