KUWAIT CITY, March 30: The Embassy of India in Kuwait has expressed deep condolences over the death of an Indian national following an attack on a desalination facility in Kuwait.
In an official statement, the Embassy described the incident as tragic and extended sympathies to the family of the deceased. It also confirmed that it is in close coordination with Kuwait authorities to provide all necessary support and assistance.
The incident occurred a day earlier when a service building at a power and water desalination plant was struck, resulting in the fatality and damage to the facility. Authorities continue to monitor the situation while ensuring the continuity of essential services.
Indian Ambassador-designate HE Paramita Tripathi visited the Central Mortuary of Kuwait today, where the mortal remains of an Indian national—who lost his life last evening during the attack on a desalination facility—were brought.
The Ambassador met Brig. Abdulrahim Al-Awadhi, General Manager of the General Department of Criminal Evidence, to convey appreciation for the prompt and sensitive support extended in handling the matter.
The Embassy remains in close contact with the family of the deceased and is coordinating with Kuwaiti authorities to ensure the expeditious repatriation of the mortal remains.
