KUWAIT CITY, Nov 4: The Indian Embassy in Kuwait celebrated the twin events Diwali and Ayurveda Day at its premises. Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador HE Sibi George, said, “Despite the many challenges posed by the devastating Covid-19 pandemic, we in India have many things to be proud of. Today there is a need for all of us to come together, together with collective participation, to take Lifestyle for Environment (LIFE) forward as a campaign. This can become a mass movement of Environmental Conscious Life Style as the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his national statement delivered at COP 26 gathering.”

In today’s complex world in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic ‘life style’ is among most important topics of discussion all across the world today. “When when we talk about life style, it is Ayurveda and Yoga, and its holistic approach addressing all aspects of life, body, mind, and spirit that dominates discussions. I am so happy to see that so many of our Kuwaiti friends have placed their trust on Ayurveda and yoga,” he said.

For us at the embassy, the ambassador said, Ayurveda and Yoga continue to be an important aspect of the embassy’s outreach efforts in Kuwait. “I am happy to note that the Ayurveda Information Center that we launched last year continues to share information through Ayurveda Bulletin in English and Arabic,” he said. “I also congratulate and thank our artistes who are here with us today to perform a variety of dances and the beautiful Rangoli at the chancery premises. Each one has put in a lot of efforts, time, energy and resources to perform and make our Diwali — the festival of lights.
