KUWAIT CITY, Nov 30: Indian Badminton Association - Kuwait (IBAK) conducted its season-ending Inter-School Badminton tournament on 20th and 21st November 2025. The commitment to promote and develop badminton in Kuwait has been IBAK’s motto from its very inception. The steadfast resolve and vision towards the same is exemplified by the fact that this is the 12th successive edition in its 15 years of existence. The missed years were due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
More than 30 schools from across the length and breadth of Kuwait took part in the tournament. 447 entries were received, and 350+ players thoroughly enjoyed the tournament.
Parents and School officials praised the organising capacity and the passion with which IBAK officials conducted the tournament. Many children were allowed to participate in the “OPEN” category due to the lack of players from their school to form a team. IBAK’s president, Mr. Ajaykumar Vasudevan, and General Secretary, Mr. Subin Varghese, oversaw the tournament, ably assisted by the untiring IBAK team of officials and volunteers.
All the participants displayed outstanding skill and determination, making the tournament both exciting and memorable. Indian Educational School - Bhavans proved their supremacy yet again with deft touches and powerful smashes across the court, much to the surprise of their opponents.
The overall championship rolling trophy was presented to the proud Indian Educational School - Bhavans boys and girls in the presence of ardent followers of badminton in Kuwait. The runner-up was ILOA. Third and fourth runners-up were the Philippines International English School and FAIPS DPS, respectively. The kids showed their real talents and skills in singles & doubles of different age groups.
All the winners, runners, and semi-finalists received medals and certificates for their outstanding achievements. Special awards were presented to the Most Promising Players, celebrating not only skill but also the positive spirit displayed by all participants.
IBAK thanked its untiring committee members who worked hard to mark the completion of yet another successful tournament, as it has become the habit in recent times. The efforts were much appreciated by the crowd, players, and school management
