Indian dies in Abdali mishap; 4 hurt in family fight

KUWAIT CITY, April 26: An Indian man died when his vehicle overturned along Abdali Motorway while his Bangladeshi companion was injured. Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after the Operations Unit in the Interior Ministry received information on the accident. However, the Indian was already dead when the rescuers arrived at the scene. His remains were referred to Forensics. It turned out the victim had a Bangladeshi companion who sustained multiple injuries so he was admitted to Jahra Hospital.

Family fight: Four individuals sustained injuries during a quarrel among relatives in Jahra area. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the quarrel, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location to find some people in the area. They questioned these people to be told that they had settled the quarrel and some among them took the injured brawlers to Jahra Hospital. Securitymen rushed to the hospital to discover four patients were admitted. When questioned, they revealed that the quarrel was based on some family disputes. All involved parties have been summoned for investigations. Meanwhile, a 25-year old Kuwaiti citizen lodged a complaint at Qurain Police Station against his neighbor and his brother, accusing them of beating him and breaking his right hand. He presented a medical report to back his accusation. Securitymen immediately arrested the two suspects and referred them for investigations.

Officer beaten: A Kuwaiti traffic officer with the rank of corporal filed a complaint against a compatriot who allegedly beat him when he issued a traffic citation in Hawally. The traffic officer mentioned in his complaint that when he was on duty along Cairo Street in Hawally, he noticed the compatriot who violated a traffic regulation. The officer then signaled for the accused to pull over and he issued a citation. However, the accused beat the officer who fell on the ground while the assailant fled from the scene. Investigations are ongoing to verify the complaint and take legal action, if necessary.
