India condemns attack on Indian-flagged ship off Oman coast

NEW DELHI, May 14: The Ministry of External Affairs on Wednesday condemned the attack on an Indian-flagged ship off the coast of Oman, calling the incident “unacceptable” and expressing concern over continued attacks targeting commercial shipping and civilian mariners.

In an official statement, the ministry said all Indian crew members aboard the vessel were safe and thanked Omani authorities for carrying out the rescue operation. India also reiterated that commercial shipping and innocent civilian crews should not be targeted, stressing the importance of safeguarding freedom of navigation and global commerce.
