KUWAIT CITY, March 5: The Indian Ambassador to Kuwait Paramita Tripathi affirms India’s unwavering support for Kuwait’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and expressed solidarity during the current exceptional regional security situation, which has rapidly evolved since February 28, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In a message sent to the Indian community in Kuwait, Ambassador Tripathi explained that India firmly condemns any violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The safety and security of Indian citizens in Kuwait is the Indian government’s top priority. She assured that the embassy is monitoring the community’s situation around the clock and continues to provide support and assistance via a dedicated hotline and email, with all consular services operating normally.

The ambassador expressed pride in the calm, positive spirit and resilience shown by the Indian community and thanked Kuwaiti authorities for their professional efforts in protecting all residents. She revealed that recent high-level discussions have taken place, including a phone conversation between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, as well as a meeting on February 28 between Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Al-Jaber to discuss regional developments.

During these contacts, India reaffirmed its condemnation of any infringement on Kuwait’s sovereignty. It is worth highlighting that the four Indian consular assistance centers are operating during Ramadan from 9:00am to 3:00pm, excluding Fridays.

The embassy urged community members to rely exclusively on official statements from the embassy and Kuwaiti authorities and to avoid circulating rumors or unverified information. The embassy affirmed that it is closely coordinating with airlines and Kuwaiti authorities to provide solutions for travelers affected by temporary airspace closures and transit restrictions.
