NEW DELHI, April 24: The Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Monday that an agreement had been reached between New Delhi and Beijing to uphold the security and stability of the shared border areas. The agreement came as a result of the 18th round of military talks held between the two countries on Saturday at the border meeting point between the regions of Choshol and Moldu on the Chinese side.

In a statement released by the ministry, the two sides engaged in productive discussions to resolve relevant issues along the common borders, with the aim of establishing peace and tranquility in the border areas and enhancing bilateral relations.

The statement further confirmed that both sides had agreed to maintain security and stability in the shared border between the two countries and continue to hold talks and maintain communication through military and diplomatic channels.

It is worth noting that India and China have been in conflict over border areas, including Ladakh in the Himalayas and regions in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, for several decades.
