India Advises Citizens to Leave Iran as Israel Strikes and Explosions Rock Iranian Cities

NEW DELHI / TEHRAN, Jun 8: India has urged its nationals in Iran to leave the country using available transport options, as tensions continue to rise in the region, according to an advisory issued by the Indian Embassy in Tehran. The embassy also reiterated its earlier warning advising Indian citizens to avoid all travel to Iran.

The advisory comes amid reports of renewed unrest, with Iranian state media stating that explosions were heard on Monday in several cities, including Karaj, Isfahan, and multiple towns near Tehran such as Eslamshahr, Malard, Kahrizak, and Bagher Shahr. No immediate details were provided on the cause or extent of damage.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Ministry said ongoing negotiations are currently focused solely on ending the conflict, dismissing speculation about discussions on the scope of the country’s nuclear program. Spokesman Esmail Baghaei stated that there are no talks on nuclear-related details at this stage, adding that such reports are media speculation.

The developments come amid heightened regional tensions, with diplomatic efforts and security concerns continuing to evolve across multiple fronts.
