KUWAIT CITY, March 10: MPs Osama Al-Shaheen, Al-Damkhi, Muhammad Al-Dallal, Mubarak Al-Hajraf and Abdullah Al-Kandari submitted a bill amending Law No. 8/1969 on precautionary measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
The bill stipulates tougher penalties on those proven to have violated the law – six months imprisonment and KD 500 fine or any of these two penalties.
In the explanatory note of the bill, the MPs said the penalty stipulated in the existing law does not match present circumstances; considering it was ratified in 1969
