In a week 215 arrests made, 27,457 traffic violations issued

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 24: In the course of security operations involving traffic and rescue personnel law enforcement authorities have arrested 215 individuals and issued 27,457 traffic violations from Sept 16 to 23, reports Al-Rai daily.

During the same period 13 juveniles who were arrested have subsequently been referred to the Juvenile Prosecution.

As per the latest weekly statistics released by the General Traffic Department, 92 wanted vehicles were seized, precautionary detention measures were taken against 45 individuals, and 24,054 various traffic violations were documented.

Moreover, 114 vehicles were impounded, and 22 motorcycles were taken to the Ministry of Interior garage.

Of significant note, three individuals were referred to the General Administration for Drug Control, and 18 were identified as residence violators. Additionally, nine individuals were found without valid proof, and 26 wanted persons linked to various cases were arrested and subsequently handed over to the competent authorities.
