Improved visibility across Kuwait with a chance of evening fog
Kuwait Meteorological Department forecasts a clearer day with evening fog.

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 9: Acting Director of the Meteorological Department, Dharar Al-Ali, forecasted improved weather conditions and horizontal visibility across Kuwait on Sunday, while warning of a chance of light fog in the evening.

Al-Ali told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the country is under the influence of an extension of a high-pressure system from the northwest, accompanied by light, variable northwesterly winds.

He explained that the system caused humidity levels to rise to 80 percent on Saturday evening and early Sunday morning, leading to the formation of light fog. Horizontal visibility in some areas decreased, reaching as low as 4,000 meters at Kuwait International Airport.

Humidity levels increased late Saturday night, exceeding 95 percent in certain locations. The higher humidity led to denser fog, reducing horizontal visibility to 100 meters at Kuwait International Airport and causing near-zero visibility in some areas.

Al-Ali noted that visibility began improving across most parts of the country by 9:30 AM, reaching 5,000 meters by 10:00 AM. He confirmed that weather conditions and visibility would continue to improve throughout the day, with light fog expected to return in the evening.

He added that the chances of dense fog would be higher on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.
