KUWAIT CITY, Nov 30: The kick-off for the initial phase of the third installment of the Kuwaiti Show Jumping Equestrian League is slated for 8:30 am at the Al-Masila Equestrian Club in the Subhan area. An impressive gathering of male and female riders from diverse local clubs is set to partake in the event, generously sponsored by Zain Company.

Today's competitions will unfold at varying heights, ranging from 90 cm to 135 cm. The action will persist tomorrow, Saturday, commencing at 10:30 am. Four rounds are scheduled, featuring heights of 110 cm, 120 cm, and 130 cm, culminating in the grand prize round at a height of 140 cm. Participants securing the top spot in the initial round stand to win substantial cash prizes, with a total of 10,000 dinars allocated for the winners.

Sheikh Yousef Mishal Al-Sabah, a member of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation, expressed optimism about the continued success of the league. He emphasized the federation's dedication to supporting and advancing Kuwaiti equestrian sports, with a keen aspiration to elevate the country's standing on the global equestrian stage.

Yousef Al-Sabah revealed that the league championship encompasses a total of 8 rounds, with the kickoff today and the tournament's conclusion slated for May 4. Each round spans two days, and the league also includes the organization of two- and three-star international tournaments.

Heading the tournament's refereeing committee is Nadhar Al-Mustafa, supported by committee members Raghad Al-Dabbous, Ibtisam Al-Arouri, and Dalal Al-Obaid. The track design is entrusted to Philip Schwinder, with assistance from Yaqoub Al-Nasrallah, and arena referees Sami Al-Barak and Badr Al-Haifi.
