Imports of vegetables and fruits in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 17: According to official data, the value of the vegetables and fruits imported to Kuwait in 2021 amounted to about KD 326.8 million, and dairy products and eggs about KD 182 million, reports Al-Anba daily. The data showed that the first quarter of the year recorded the largest import of vegetables and fruits, with value reaching about KD 86.13 million.

This began to decline in the second quarter of 2021 to KD 84.86 million. In the third quarter it reached KD 83.42 million, and then to KD 72.36 million in the last quarter of the year. As for dairy products and eggs, their import to Kuwait reached the highest levels during the second quarter of the year at KD 48 million, compared to KD 45.99 million in the first quarter of 2021.

The third quarter recorded about KD 44.37 million of dairy and egg products imported, while the fourth quarter recorded the lowest volume of imports for these products with a value of KD 43.58 million.
