A Municipality inspector shuts an illegal wedding tent.

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 18: General Department of Public Hygiene and Road Occupancy at Farwaniya Municipality launched a campaign at Ardiya Industrial Area against unlicensed tents installed on state properties for holding wedding parties and running cafés, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The Director of the department Saad Al-Khurainej explained that the campaign was conducted by inspectors from the Violations Department to detect violations in this regard. During the campaign, 25 warning stickers were placed at the violating wedding camps and eight others on tents used for running cafés as well as three citations were issued against shops that occupy additional space before obtaining the relevant licenses.

Meanwhile, Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality declared the achievements of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Municipality in the month of November 2017. It revealed that 78,185 cubic meters of waste materials were lifted, 455 warning stickers were placed on abandoned cars, 38 abandoned cars were lifted and 104 citations were issued along with 21 licenses.
