KUWAIT CITY, Nov 4: As part of its ongoing efforts to monitor and regulate the labor market and enforce the Labor Law and its implementing regulations, the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) continues to carry out intensive inspection campaigns. These campaigns are conducted in coordination with the Residence Affairs Investigation Department at the Ministry of Interior, the Drug Control Department, and the Health Licensing Department at the Ministry of Health.
The Authority emphasized that these joint campaigns are active across all governorates to address all forms of labor law violations. It reaffirmed its commitment to taking strict legal action against anyone found in breach of the Labor Law, with relevant authorities implementing all necessary procedures against violators.
PAM urged both employers and workers to fully comply with the laws and regulations to ensure the safety of employees, protect public interest, and maintain an organized labor market.
During one recent inspection, the joint committee uncovered a health center employing workers not authorized to work, including laborers with expired residency permits, domestic workers, and individuals practicing medicine without valid licenses. The center was also found using unlicensed and unidentified medications stored improperly and employing medical devices on patients, in clear violation of laws governing medical practice, labor, and residency in Kuwait.
