KUWAIT CITY, Jan 21: Kuwait’s Public Authority for Food and Nutrition has uncovered an illegal home-based food operation that was trading food products without a valid health license, following a tip received on social media.

Dr Saud Al-Humaidi Al-Jalal, Acting Deputy Director General for Inspection and Control at the authority, said inspectors moved swiftly after receiving the report, coordinating with security agencies to raid the residence. Legal action was immediately taken against those involved, and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.

Dr Al-Jalal stressed that the authority will continue to take firm and uncompromising action against all violators, warning that any threat to consumer health or food safety will not be tolerated. He reaffirmed that protecting public health and ensuring safe food standards remain a top priority for the authority.
