KUWAIT CITY, Dec 3: The Environment Public Authority of Kuwait, in coordination with the Kuwait Municipality, the Ministry of Interior, and the General Fire Force, conducted a comprehensive inspection campaign in the Ahmadi Governorate to target unauthorized desert camping and environmental violations.
The campaign resulted in the issuance of six environmental violations under Articles 40 and 41 of the Environmental Protection Law. In addition, authorities removed numerous illegal camps set up in areas where camping is prohibited and lacked the required permits from the Kuwait Municipality.
The Environment Public Authority of Kuwait emphasized that the campaign is part of ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and to protect natural areas from damage caused by illegal camping activities.
Authorities also reminded desert explorers and camp owners of the importance of adhering to Environmental Protection Law No. 42 of 2014, as amended by Law No. 99 of 2015, along with its executive regulations. The Environment Public Authority of Kuwait urged the public to obtain proper permits and to follow guidelines to maintain safety and environmental integrity during outdoor activities.
