KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12: The IDAK–KDD Football and Freekick Championship 2025 lit up the evening with thrilling action, team spirit, and camaraderie as members of the Indian Dentists Alliance in Kuwait (IDAK) gathered for yet another most anticipated sporting event of the year. The tournament, held at ArganBedaya, Sabah Salem, was a resounding success, owing to the seamless coordination and enthusiasm of the IDAK Sports Committee comprising Dr. Eldho George (Chair), Dr. Renjit George (Co-chair), Dr. Anjana Nair, Dr. Varsha Manmohanan, Dr. Abraham Thomas, and Dr. Sharon Thomas.

A Grand Kick-Off

The event was inaugurated by IDAK President Dr. George P. Alex, in the distinguished presence of Mr. Anand Kumar Harith, Manager–Business Systems representing KDD, the main event sponsor, and Al Mulla Exchange, the official remittance partner. Their presence and support reflect the strong partnership and shared commitment to community well-being and sporting excellence. Three dynamic teams — Red Raptors, Green Dragons, and Blue Phoenixes — took to the field, displaying not only athletic talent but also sportsmanship and unity.

Every match was filled with energy, passion, and friendly rivalry. The games were professionally officiated by Mr. Sunil, Mr. Rakesh, and Mr. Shine, ensuring fair play and a smooth flow of competition throughout the event.

The Football Championship saw the Green Dragons emerge as the undisputed champions, displaying power-packed coordination and team spirit, while the Red Raptors claimed the runners-up position with commendable grit and determination. Mr. Jubin was rightfully named the Best Player for his exceptional skill and game-changing performance.

In the Freekick Championship, the competition was fierce and evenly matched, culminating in a spectacular tie between the Blue Phoenixes and Green Dragons, both showcasing precision, focus, and flair.

The Red Raptors once again stood tall as runners-up. Mrs. Shasmija Asheel earned the Best Player title for her remarkable accuracy and composure under pressure. On behalf of the Sports Committee, Dr. Eldho congratulated all participants for their energy and enthusiasm, with special appreciation to the team captains — Dr. Ashwin, Dr. Remya, Dr. Rupesh, Dr. Ranjitha, Dr. Joe, and Dr. Jyothy — whose leadership and motivation brought out the best in their teams.

The sports committee also extended special thanks to the IDAK Council for their continuous encouragement and unwavering support in promoting sports, unity, and wellness among IDAK members; as well as all those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, Dr. Shaheer, Dr. Jijan, Dr. Thomas Thomas, Dr. Sudhin, Dr. Aju, Dr. Asheel, and Dr. Roshila, for their valuable contributions in ensuring the smooth running of the event. The IDAK–KDD Football and Freekick Championship 2025 wasn’t just about competition; it was about connection.

The event perfectly embodied IDAK’s spirit of togetherness, friendly rivalry, and celebration of health and happiness through sports. With laughter echoing across the field, cheering crowds, and moments of pure joy, the day concluded on a high note — reinforcing once again that in IDAK, it is team spirit that always wins.
